View the amazing staff / team members at Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy
My name is Kara and I have worked in Healthcare for over 10+ years and I have 7 years of Office Manager experience. At Building Blocks I am committed to helping oversee all daily operations which allows the clinical staff to focus on our top priority, which is to assure that our families receive the highest levels of quality care. Of all the office settings I’ve worked in, the Pediatric setting will always be my favorite. Watching these kids grow and reach their full potential is such a beautiful thing to witness everyday. I’ve been married for 3 years to my husband, Ryan. And I recently became a mother to the most handsome little human named Levi! In my free time I try to embrace what Michigan has to offer by boating in the summer, and snowboarding or snowmobiling in the winter.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University where I studied psychology and communication sciences and disorders. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2020 with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. My favorite thing about being an SLP is helping children find their voice, whether it’s verbally, through signs or a communication device. I love working through a family based approach as well as collaborating with other therapists. Outside of being an SLP, I enjoy drinking lattes, doing yoga and hanging out with my cat, Moose (not pictured).
Hi, my name is Kayla! I’m from Grand Haven MI and received my RBT certification in the beginning of 2021, and have been a behavior tech since November 2020. I received my associates degree from Muskegon Community College in 2019 where I studied psychology and child development. I also plan on returning to Grand Valley State University to continue those studies in the future. I have interest in completing continuing education in the areas of autism and child development. I have been working with children from more than a decade wether it be, daycare, respite care and babysitting. My favorite thing about working with children is that I can make learning fun for them. I love it when they are able to grasp a concept that they used to struggle with. I also enjoy seeing how much progress they have made. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, being outdoors and playing with my kitten Ellie.
Hi, my name is Sherry. I am a registered behavior technician and I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University. I’ve been working with children for over 30 years. I think the best part of my job is seeing that smile on a child’s face when they learn something new.
My husband Brian and I have a blended family of six children. We enjoy playing board games, being active with our church and spending time with friends and family.
Hello! My name is Olivia and I have been working for Building Blocks since March of 2020. I have been in the Field of ABA for 3 years now, but I actually went to school for Occupational Therapy. I graduated from Macomb Community College’s OTA program in May of 2019 with a special interest of working in pediatrics. I have always loved watching how little minds can grow and develop in the environments they are placed in. I come from a pretty large family and it is continually growing! Within the past 2 years, there have been 4 weddings, one of them including mine! I just recently got married this past October 2020. I love spending my free time outdoors- anything from hiking to skiing to biking. My bucket list is to travel to all 50 states one day with my husband. I love working for building blocks and it has been wonderful to meet and work with so many outstanding team members and kiddos!
I currently attend Oakland University studying Health Sciences with the career goal of becoming an Occupational Therapist. I have worked in ABA for almost two years at various pediatric clinics. My favorite part about being an RBT is celebrating the little victories as clients progress toward their goals. When I am not at the clinic you can find me dancing at OU basketball games or studying at a local coffee shop.
