Kara

My name is Kara and I have worked in Healthcare for over 10+ years and I have 7 years of Office Manager experience. At Building Blocks I am committed to helping oversee all daily operations which allows the clinical staff to focus on our top priority, which is to assure that our families receive the highest levels of quality care. Of all the office settings I’ve worked in, the Pediatric setting will always be my favorite. Watching these kids grow and reach their full potential is such a beautiful thing to witness everyday. I’ve been married for 3 years to my husband, Ryan. And I recently became a mother to the most handsome little human named Levi! In my free time I try to embrace what Michigan has to offer by boating in the summer, and snowboarding or snowmobiling in the winter.

I received my associates degree from Muskegon Community College in 2019 where I studied psychology and child development. I also plan on returning to Grand Valley State University to continue those studies in the future. I have interest in completing continuing education in the areas of autism and child development. I have been working with children from more than a decade wether it be, daycare, respite care and babysitting. My favorite thing about working with children is that I can make learning fun for them. I love it when they are able to grasp a concept that they used to struggle with. I also enjoy seeing how much progress they have made. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, being outdoors and playing with my kitten Ellie.

Within the past 2 years, there have been 4 weddings, one of them including mine! I just recently got married this past October 2020. I love spending my free time outdoors- anything from hiking to skiing to biking. My bucket list is to travel to all 50 states one day with my husband. I love working for building blocks and it has been wonderful to meet and work with so many outstanding team members and kiddos!
